Who we are
This website, ldd.co.za, is operated by Logix Design and Development (LDD), a South African IT company based at 41 Mimosa Avenue, Doon Heights, Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal, 4126. In this policy “we”, “us” and “LDD” mean Logix Design and Development. We are the responsible party / data controller for the personal information processed through this site.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Information we collect
- Information you give us — when you complete our contact form, request a quote, or message us on WhatsApp or email, we collect your name, contact details (email, phone) and the contents of your message.
- Usage and device data — when you visit the site we automatically collect standard analytics and technical data such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, and referring site, via Google Analytics 4 and our server logs.
- Cookies — small files placed on your device to make the site work and to measure traffic. See “Cookies and analytics” below.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries, provide quotes and deliver the products and services you request.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve our website and services.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve content and performance.
- To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
Legal basis for processing
Under POPIA we process personal information on the basis of your consent, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, to pursue our legitimate business interests in a balanced way, and to comply with the law. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the corresponding lawful bases in Article 6 (consent, contract, legitimate interests and legal obligation).
Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site and our LiteSpeed caching, and analytics cookies via Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic anonymously. Analytics helps us see which pages are useful; it does not identify you personally to us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may then not work as intended.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms, including our website hosting provider and Google (Analytics). We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (for example Google Analytics) may process data on servers outside South Africa or the EU. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with POPIA and, where applicable, the GDPR.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, to meet legal and accounting requirements, or to resolve disputes. Enquiry and quote records are typically retained for the duration of our business relationship and a reasonable period afterwards, after which they are securely deleted.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law you have the right to ask us to access, correct, update or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in South Africa and believe we have not handled your information lawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa). If the GDPR applies to you, you may complain to your local data-protection supervisory authority.
How we protect your information
As an IT and cybersecurity company, we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring and regular updates — to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
